ROSALIE BONNER RITENOUR SCHOLARSHIP
DEDICATION
On the evening of September 8th we gathered to
celebrate Rosalie Bonner Ritenour and to dedicate her Scholarship established to
honor this magnificent lady who at the expense of her own longevity devoted her
life to the service of others and became a champion of youth, higher education
and scholarship.
We were joined on the occasion by two of Rosalie’s
daughters
Angela
Ritenour Thurston of Woodbridge, Virginia and
Pamela Ritenour Storrs of Winchester Virginia. Both daughters delivered
heartfelt commentary about the appropriateness to the occasion and with their
assistance I muddled my way through what would have otherwise been the
embarrassment of a lifetime. Only with their help was I able to complete my
assigned duty to conduct the dedication. We shared our innermost thoughts and
remembrances of Rosalie Bonner Ritenour and celebrated her life with much
emotion and commentary from the heart and while some may not agree, we believe
Rosalie was pleased
