When the Marines and Ladies listed below traveled to Nashville for the first USMC Food Service Reunion, the topic of conversation most often overheard centered around  forming a Marine Corps Food Service Association. 

In point of fact, although many in attendance had been retired for twenty to thirty years, the conversation was dominated by the prospect of an Association of Food Service Marines of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

As a result of that preoccupation, we determined that if such an Association was possible, we had a duty to see it through. On November 21, 2001 we held what has turned out to be a "Founders Meeting for the U.S. Marine Corps Food Service Association" and formulated a plan to carry us through the first two years of development. We are forever grateful to those  individuals who have given so freely the time and expertise required to complete the Incorporation process and enable the Association to fulfill a major portion of the responsibilities set forth in our by-laws.
