2003 AWARD
The 2003 Colonel William R. "Bill" Lucius Scholarship Award was presented to William Shane Thurston (above) by Colonel Lucius during the Scholarship Dedication conducted in New Orleans during our 2003 Reunion. Shane's application has been accepted at Shenandoah University, Winchester, Virginia and he was awarded a grant of $2,000 per year for four years by our Association Scholarship Committee chaired by Dr. Howard J Christenson. Congratulations Shane. We will watch your progress in school with great interest.
2004 AWARDS
This year two Scholarships were awarded to Ms. Michelle Jayne Harris (above) of Wake Forrest North Carolina who is enrolled in the Vance Granville Community College Associate Degree Nursing Program. Michelle received $500 scholarships from each of the Colonel William R. "Bill" Lucius Scholarship Program and the Rosalie Bonner Ritenour Memorial Scholarship Program for a total award of $1000.
